Lily Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information Lily ("the App," "we," "us") collects, how it's used, and how it's protected. Lily is currently in beta testing.
Information We Collect
To provide Lily's core features, we collect and store:
- Account information: name, email address, and password (or sign-in credentials if using Sign in with Apple or Google)
- Household information: names and profile details for household members you add, including children's profiles. Birthdays can be added with or without the year — including the year is optional
- Calendar and scheduling data: events, reminders, errands, and tasks you create, including dates, times, notes, and who's involved
- Location information: Lily uses your phone's location to power the "Near Me" errand grouping feature. If you choose to set up geofencing notifications, Lily also stores the address you provide for that location
- Notification preferences: your chosen settings for reminders and alerts
How We Use Your Information
We use the information above solely to operate Lily's features — displaying your household's schedule, sending reminders, and grouping errands by location. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.
Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored in a PostgreSQL database managed on DigitalOcean's cloud infrastructure. This is a private database built specifically for Lily — it is not a shared third-party platform, and DigitalOcean does not access or use your data beyond providing the hosting infrastructure. Your data is only accessible to your household members as configured within the app. We take reasonable measures to protect your information, though no method of storage or transmission is 100% secure.
Crash Reports and Beta Feedback
As a beta tester, your use of Lily is facilitated through Apple's TestFlight, which automatically collects crash logs and diagnostic data to help us identify and fix bugs. Any feedback you submit through TestFlight is shared directly with our development team.
Third-Party Services
Lily uses DigitalOcean for cloud hosting infrastructure and Apple's TestFlight for beta distribution and crash reporting. Neither of these services has access to your data beyond what's necessary to host or distribute the app.
Children's Information
Lily allows adult account holders to create profiles for their children as part of household management. This information is entered and controlled by the adult account holder, not collected directly from children.
Your Choices
You can update or delete your household's information at any time within the app. To request full account deletion, use the Delete Account option in Account Settings, or contact us at the email below.
Changes to This Policy
As Lily moves from beta to general release, this policy may be updated. We'll note material changes here.
